Matchup Summary (Win Condition and Game Plan)
Sora can drift in the air and shift landing positions, which Little Mac cannot fully challenge with his air game. Even on the ground, spaced Nair, Fair, and Bair make it hard for Mac to find a clean punish route. The game plan is to hold center and trap landings. Use low-profile dashes, Down Tilt, Up B, and Up Smash to punish where Sora has to come down. Once Mac is pushed offstage, the recovery gap is severe, so avoiding Sora’s edgeguard and air control is the top priority.

Win Condition Checklist
- Do not chase Sora through the air; get ahead of the landing spot instead.
- If Fire, Blizzard, or Thunder interrupts your movement, reposition with forward or backward movement instead of holding shield too long.
- Do not force close-range punishes on spaced Nair, Fair, or Bair; wait for landing lag or a whiff, then commit to Down Tilt or Up B.
- After sending Sora offstage, read the recovery route and punish the moment his Up B exposes his head.
Actions to Avoid
- Chasing Sora in the air and entering anti-air guesses on your own.
- Blocking spaced Nair, Fair, or Bair without regard for spacing, then swinging back from a range that cannot reach.
- Dropping grab or smash attacks on the end of Sonic Blade or Aerial Sweep without a strong reason.
- Repeatedly showing KO Uppercut or other large swings when Sora’s Counter is already a threat.
