Matchup Summary (Win Condition and Game Plan)
This matchup gets bad for Mii Brawler when Fox’s speed and Blaster force rushed approaches, because that feeds directly into Fox’s dash attack, utilt, nair, and Up Smash tempo. Brawler needs the neutral to start with shield, dash stops, and low entries that make Fox press the first close-range button instead.
Once Brawler is in, Fox’s light weight and more readable recovery become much easier to exploit. Fast punishers like Up B (3f) and OOS Nair (6f) let Brawler shut down scrambles quickly, then convert nair, utilt, and grab into the juggles and ledge states Fox does not want to defend repeatedly.
The frame table shows jab strings, ftilt, utilt, dtilt, dash attack, every smash attack, fair, uair, dair, neutral B, side B, up B, and down B are punishable with Up B (3f) or OOS Nair (6f). By contrast, nair and bair are much thinner immediate punish spots, so trying to answer every blocked aerial in place usually just gives Fox another movement reset.
The win condition is not to outspam Fox’s speed, but to make one good read mean more. Push Fox to the edge, keep the juggle or ledge state active, and let his weight and recovery do the rest.

Win Condition Checklist
- Do not let Blaster and run speed rush you into linear approaches. Use shield, dash stops, and low entries that force Fox to press dash attack, utilt, or nair first.
- After blocking Jab 1-2, Rapid Jab Finisher, ftilt, utilt, dtilt, dash attack, any smash attack, fair, uair, dair, neutral B, side B, up B, or down B, punish with Up B (3f) or OOS Nair (6f) and flip Fox’s tempo against him.
- Treat nair and bair as movement checks rather than automatic shield-punish spots. Cover the landing and drift instead of swinging at the first gap.
- Once Fox is cornered, keep jump, Firefox landing, and ledge options covered together so one opening grows into a stock.
- Convert every close-range win into more juggle and ledge pressure instead of spending it all on a rushed raw finisher.
Actions to Avoid
- Panicking into Fox’s speed and entering the exact burst range he wants.
- Burning the first opening on a desperate kill guess instead of taking the repeated advantage state.
- Whiffing after blocked nair or bair and letting Fox reset the scramble on his own terms.
- Overchasing offstage and surrendering the stage control that makes Fox’s recovery easier to cover.
