Matchup Summary (Win Condition and Game Plan)

The matchup revolves around whether Pac Man can use fruit, hydrant, and movement changes to break Min Min’s fixed arm lanes and expose the body.
Min Min wins the pure horizontal lane and the ledge phase by default, but her close-range turn speed is weaker, so once Pac Man gets behind the arm swing and reaches the body, the exchange becomes much more manageable for him.
As the table shows, jab strings, tilts, Dash Attack, smash attacks, many nair hits, dair, and Up B (2) are all punishable by Up B (4f), OOS Nair (6f), OOS Fair (8f), or OOS Dair (9f). By contrast, uair, some nair hits, and Down B are not real same-spot punish windows, so planting in place for too long can backfire once the arm wall is rebuilt.
The win condition is to avoid using setup as a passive shield, step in when Min Min commits to arm timing, and then turn the touch into ledge pressure with hydrant plus fruit until an Up Smash or aerial confirm closes the stock.

Win Condition Checklist

  • Pac Man should not stop at placing fruit or hydrant and should walk or jump behind the setup the moment Min Min commits to an arm swing.
  • After blocking jab strings, tilts, Dash Attack, any smash attack, many nair hits, dair, or Up B (2), Pac Man should always reclaim the turn with Up B (4f), OOS Nair (6f), OOS Fair (8f), or OOS Dair (9f).
  • Pac Man should keep shifting body position instead of locking himself behind one setup pattern, so repeated arm timing never gets a free read.
  • At the ledge, Pac Man should prioritize keeping hydrant active, cover jump with fruit, and take the kill through Up Smash or aerial confirms rather than chasing too deep.

Actions to Avoid

  • Sitting behind setup for too long and letting Min Min lock the body in place with the arm wall.
  • Throwing fruit from the same height and timing until the arm swing starts intercepting it for free.
  • Swinging after non-punishable uair or Down B spots and giving Min Min a full reset into horizontal control.
  • Chasing too far offstage and giving up the hydrant-plus-fruit ledge structure that made the advantage state strong.
