Matchup Summary (Win Condition and Game Plan)
Wii Fit Trainer can build awkward mid-range situations with Sun Salutation, Header, and Deep Breathing, but Simon is well suited to remove that setup time with Cross, Axe, Holy Water, and long whip range. The danger is what happens once the spacing collapses: Wii Fit’s low profile, quick bair, dair, and bury smashes can turn one missed swing into a bad scramble for Simon. The strongest plan is to deny Deep Breathing on sight, challenge Sun Salutation charge positions with Cross or fair, and use Axe plus up B whenever Wii Fit takes to the air. Kills should come from Holy Water at the ledge, fair, bair, and up smash, so Simon does not need to overchase offstage into Header mixups or dair meteors.

Win Condition Checklist
- Treat every Deep Breathing setup as a priority interrupt so the powered-up window stays as short as possible.
- Use Cross and Holy Water to cut off the ground lane, then cover jumps with Axe, up B, and up smash before Wii Fit can drift into an awkward angle.
- On shield, collect the punish windows on jab 1, jab 2, jab 3, forward tilt, up tilt, down tilt, dash attack, the smashes, bair, dair, and neutral B.
- When Wii Fit uses crouch walk and low profile to slide under whip spacing, stop swinging blindly on the ground and hold the line with Holy Water or better repositioning.
- At kill percent, route ledge pressure through Holy Water into fair or up smash, and keep edgeguards shallow enough that Axe or Cross does the work.
Actions to Avoid
- Jumping in place every time Sun Salutation or Header appears. That reaction gets stuffed by bair or uair and drags Simon into the close-range scramble he wants to avoid.
- Letting Deep Breathing activate for free while waiting at long range. The buff shifts kill ranges too much, and Simon’s heavy movement cannot afford to respect it passively.
- Repeating only horizontal whip swings into Wii Fit’s low-profile stance. Once those whiff, Simon is left with all the lag and none of the control.
- Chasing Header too deep offstage. Simon’s recovery is too fragile to trade positions there, and one dair meteor or route mixup can flip the stock immediately.
