Matchup Summary (Win Condition and Game Plan)
Byleth vs Min Min gets worse if you keep contesting her in the same horizontal lane, but Byleth’s punish game is far heavier once the arm extension or landing is finally caught. The key is to stop staying directly in front of Min Min and instead vary jump height, drift timing, and grounded shield movement until Up B, Nair, Fair, or grab can actually reach. Min Min is much weaker when forced to land or defend at close range, so after the first opening, Byleth should extend with Uair and ledge pressure rather than forcing an immediate kill swing. If you spend too much time shooting arrows or swinging the axe from far away, you only make the pace easier for Min Min, so those tools should support your advance rather than replace it.

Win Condition Checklist
- Mix jump height, empty drift, and walking shield so Min Min cannot keep placing arms at one predictable level
- Punish blocked arm swings, Up Tilt, Dash Attack, and the landing from Up B with Up B starters or aerials whenever the window appears
- After getting in once, keep attacking above Min Min with Uair, Up Tilt, and repeated landing traps instead of cashing out too early
- At the ledge, center pressure on Bair and tipped Down Tilt so jump and roll both stay threatened
Actions to Avoid
- Standing directly in front of Min Min and repeatedly taking arm pressure at the same height
- Replacing forward movement with too many axe swings or arrows from far away and letting the wall stabilize
- Forcing a kill option immediately after one opening and giving Min Min room to reset with a defensive escape or Up B
