Matchup Summary (Win Condition and Game Plan)
Lucario’s comeback power rises with Aura, but in the early game Chrom’s forward air, neutral air, and up tilt are usually faster, which gives him a long window to touch first and carry Lucario to the ledge.
Rather than dealing with Aura Sphere head-on, it fits better to use low-risk approaches to start pressure, keep the landing traps going, and avoid letting the match drag on.
For KOs, it is more stable to land back air and up smash at the ledge and end the stock before high-Aura reversal tools become relevant.

Win Condition Checklist
- Do not let Aura Sphere pull you out of center stage; walk into sword range first.
- Preempt Lucario’s landing spot and keep up air and up smash flowing.
- When Aura is high, avoid whiffing big moves and prioritize ledge pressure and recycling the stock advantage.
Actions to Avoid
- Waiting too long and giving Lucario time to build Aura.
- Swinging the sword repeatedly without reading his punish angles.
- Overchasing offstage and giving him the chance to reverse the stock with back air or a turnaround option.
