Matchup Summary (Win Condition and Game Plan)
Peach threatens the matchup through float Nair, Fair, Bair, and turnip control, then turns one touch into very long damage and ledge pressure. Falco is not built to win by simply chasing her on the ground, but he does have strong laser tempo control and some of the better anti-air and vertical carry once Peach is finally above him.
That makes the first launch the whole point. Falco should avoid contesting low float head-on, use laser to slow Peach’s horizontal entry, and then convert the first opening into Up Tilt, Nair, and Uair landing traps. Peach does not want to keep defending directly above herself and behind her at the same time, so once Falco gets her airborne he can force repeated guesses.
The table shows Jab 1, Jab 2, Forward Tilt, Up Tilt, Dash Attack, every smash attack, Fair, Bair, and Side B (1)(2) are all punishable on shield, with OOS Nair (6f) and Up Smash (7f) as the most important starters. Jab pressure, Forward Tilt, Fair, and Peach Bomber are especially valuable because they are common places where Falco can stop the float pressure from resetting. Nair, Uair, and Dair are less stable for immediate punishment, so those should usually be answered by backing up and trapping the re-landing instead.
Stocks come more reliably from Uair, Up Smash, and ledge Bair than from overextending offstage. Peach can drift, float, and swing to reverse a greedy chase, so Falco should prefer holding the ledge space and making the next landing or ledge option smaller instead of trying to finish everything in one jump.

Win Condition Checklist
- Use laser to slow Peach’s horizontal float entry, then turn the first clean hit into Up Tilt, Nair, and Uair landing traps instead of resetting too early.
- After blocking Jab 1, Jab 2, Forward Tilt, Up Tilt, Dash Attack, any smash attack, Fair, Bair, or Side B (1)(2), prioritize OOS Nair (6f) and Up Smash (7f), then use Grab, OOS Uair, OOS Fair, or OOS Bair when spacing gives the better punish.
- Do not force immediate answers on Nair, Uair, or Dair. Back up, cover the re-landing, and make Peach swing again into your anti-air zones.
- Close stocks more often with Uair, Up Smash, and ledge Bair while shrinking Peach’s landing and ledge choices than by overchasing far offstage.
Actions to Avoid
- Jumping directly into low float pressure and giving Peach the exact close-range scramble she converts best.
- Missing the punish on jabs, Forward Tilt, Fair, or Peach Bomber and allowing the float wall to start over immediately.
- Swinging instantly after every blocked Nair, Uair, or Dair and handing Peach another landing mix instead of controlling space.
- Chasing too deep offstage and letting Peach drift or float past you to steal back the ledge position.
