Matchup Summary (Win Condition and Game Plan)
Villager can slow the match with slingshot, Lloid Rocket, tree, and bowling ball, so Ganondorf takes steady chip if he keeps forcing straight-line approaches. The tradeoff is that Villager does not have a dominant close-range reversal here, and grounded choices like down tilt, dash attack, and up tilt become expensive whenever Ganondorf blocks them. The win condition is to stop respecting every projectile, use preemptive nair, bair, and down tilt to cover drift and landings, then hit the setup windows around Lloid or bowling ball to carry Villager to the ledge. Pocket matters less than usual because Ganondorf gives Villager no projectile to steal, so one clean read in center stage can still snowball into a ledge trap and an early stock. Do not overchase offstage; holding center and trapping the balloon recovery is the stable route.

Win Condition Checklist
- Use walk shield and short-hop nair to take space instead of repeatedly leaping over slingshot
- Hit the startup or recovery of Lloid Rocket, tree, and bowling ball with bair, dash attack, or down tilt before Villager can reset
- After blocking down tilt, dash attack, up tilt, or down smash, take the guaranteed punish with grab, nair, or Up B
- Once Villager is cornered, cover ledge jump and balloon drift with bair, up smash, and uair instead of giving up center
- Keep ledge pressure disciplined and make Villager land first rather than gambling on deep offstage commits
Actions to Avoid
- Swing first with Warlock Punch or other huge grounded commitments just because slingshot is annoying
- Challenge Lloid Rocket head-on from the front and give Villager free time to reset the screen
- Chase too far offstage into bowling ball or anti-recovery traps and hand back the stock lead
- Force fair or dair onto shield and let Villager escape the corner for free
