Matchup Summary (Win Condition and Game Plan)
This matchup gets volatile if Mii Brawler keeps brawling right in front of Incineroar, because one Side B or one Revenge read can swing an entire stock.
The advantage is that Brawler is faster in movement, startup, and pressure loops, so the plan is not to trade raw hits but to make Incineroar whiff first and keep the turn once you get in.
The frame table shows that Jab, tilts, dash attack, every smash attack, down air, Neutral B, and Up B are all punishable on shield by Up B (3f), nair, up smash, uair, or grab. Forward air is also punishable at closer spacing, so steady guaranteed punishes matter more here than flashy callouts.
By contrast, Side B does not give you a normal shield punish number, and Down B is a counter-style reversal, so passively sitting in shield is not enough to control the pace. Use dash rhythm, aerial entry, and landing mixups to stay just outside Side B range, then switch to grabs or delayed punishes when Revenge appears. At the ledge, keep the edgeguard shallow and force Incineroar’s slow Up B recovery to pass through your coverage.

Win Condition Checklist
- Punish Jab, tilts, dash attack, smash attacks, down air, Neutral B, and Up B on shield with the listed Up B, nair, up smash, uair, or grab answers.
- Do not stand still at Side B range; vary dash stops and short hops so Incineroar has to swing first.
- The moment you see Revenge, stop auto-piloting strings and shift to grab or a delayed punish instead of feeding a boosted hit.
- After getting in, keep the turn with nair, fair, and up tilt ledge-to-juggle pressure instead of resetting to neutral too early.
- At the ledge, cover neutral getup and jump with up smash, uair, and bair, and punish Up B recovery from a shallow position rather than overchasing.
Actions to Avoid
- Overrespecting Side B and freezing in shield, which gives up the spacing control Brawler needs to win neutral.
- Continuing the same string into Revenge and handing Incineroar a high-multiplier punish for free.
- Letting punishable jabs, tilts, dash attack, Neutral B, and Up B go unpunished against a heavyweight who must be taxed every time.
- Chasing too deep offstage and giving Incineroar the reversal window that creates Side B comeback situations.
- Fishing for desperate smash attacks to force kills and dropping the stronger juggle and ledge-trap game you already have.
