Mii Brawler vs Wii Fit Trainer

Wii Fit Trainer Matchup (Mii Brawler)

Mii Brawler vs Wii Fit Trainer

Mii Brawler vs Wii Fit Trainer is won by cutting off Deep Breathing and Sun Salutation, then staying inside long enough for Up B punishes and landing traps to stop every reset.

Matchup Summary (Win Condition and Game Plan)

This matchup is about refusing to let Wii Fit Trainer freely assemble Sun Salutation, Header, and Deep Breathing space. Mii Brawler wins once the fight becomes close and repeated, but running straight in gets checked by Bair, Dair, and Up Tilt, so the entry has to come from mixed shield timing and short hops that disturb the projectile rhythm before the burst inward happens.
Wii Fit Trainer still has awkwardly strong aerial hitboxes and dangerous ledge denial even without the buff, but close-range pressure does not loop very long. As the table shows, Jab 1-3, tilts, dash attack, all smashes, Neutral B, Side B, Bair, and Dair are all punishable by Up B (3f), OOS Nair, Up Smash, or OOS Uair, which means once Brawler is in, the job is to keep every defensive reset short.
Fair is the main exception because it stays too safe to force every time on shield. If Brawler insists on punishing it directly, Wii Fit Trainer gets to drift away or rebuild projectile spacing, so it is more stable to chase the landing with Uair, Nair, and grounded pursuit and win on the second touch instead.
The win condition is to deny the buff and zoning structure, push Wii Fit Trainer to the ledge, and finish with Up B, Up Smash, or Bair as jump and landing options get squeezed. Deep offstage chases are less reliable than holding ledge control and reading the recovery angle.

Win Condition Checklist

  • Break up Sun Salutation, Header, and Deep Breathing setup with mixed shield timing and short hops before committing to the dash in.
  • Punish Jab 1-3, Forward Tilt, Up Tilt, Down Tilt, Dash Attack, all smashes, Neutral B, Side B, Bair, and Dair on shield with Up B (3f), OOS Nair, or Up Smash.
  • Do not overforce direct punishes on Fair or shallow Uair; track the landing with Uair, Nair, and grounded chase to get the second touch.
  • At the ledge, keep jump and landing covered with Up B, Up Smash, and Bair so Wii Fit Trainer cannot rebuild buffed mid-range control.

Actions to Avoid

  • Letting Deep Breathing or Sun Salutation go uncontested and fighting the rest of neutral against a fully prepared Wii Fit Trainer.
  • Jumping carelessly into the height where Bair, Dair, and Up Tilt are already waiting.
  • Swinging after shield on Fair when the punish does not reach and handing back drift space or another projectile reset.
  • Chasing too far offstage into Header or meteor counterplay and giving up the cleaner kill route from ledge control.
