Mii Swordfighter vs Mewtwo

Mewtwo Matchup (Mii Swordfighter)

Mii Swordfighter vs Mewtwo

Mii Swordfighter vs. Mewtwo is most stable when you identify the Mii’s build first, then use long sword range and projectiles to limit Shadow Ball and Teleport landings.

Matchup Summary (Win Condition and Game Plan)

Because the approach changes a lot depending on the special setup, you need to determine early whether this is a zoning build or a rushdown-leaning one and set the punish priority accordingly.
Mewtwo’s Shadow Ball and large hurtbox coexist, so it is efficient to keep him from charging safely and then layer up air and up B onto the Teleport landing.
For kills, it is more stable to limit horizontal movement at the ledge and press his light weight and thin recovery there than to chase him too high in the air.

Win Condition Checklist

  • At the start, identify whether the build is projectile-based or rushdown-based, and do not lock yourself into a single response.
  • Hold the distance that prevents safe Shadow Ball charging, and only advance once he stops moving.
  • Take away both the Teleport landing spot and the ledge first so your punish does not end as a single hit.

Actions to Avoid

  • Do not repeat the same response without checking the build, or you will get broken by the opponent’s specific setup.
  • Do not add more whiffs by chasing high in the air, only to get clipped by tail hitboxes on the way back.
  • Do not rush your pressure so much that Teleport takes your back and flips the landing trap around.
