Matchup Summary (Win Condition and Game Plan)
R.O.B. wants to force Mii Swordfighter to move first with Gyro and Robo Beam, then punish options that actually stop on shield like Forward Tilt, Dash Attack, Forward Air, Down Air, and Up B (1)-(3) with Fair (9f), Grab (10f), OOS Uair (10f), or Up Smash (10f).
At the same time, Down Tilt, Neutral Air, Back Air, and Up Air are hard to punish in place, and the projectile trade changes a lot depending on the special loadout, so you need to confirm early whether Chakram, Gale Strike, or Reversal Slash is present and adjust Gyro placement plus Robo Beam height accordingly.
If R.O.B. rushes in with careless Neutral Airs or direct approaches, the sword hitboxes and loadout-dependent reversals make it easy for Mii Swordfighter to start juggles, so this matchup is more stable when R.O.B. leans on landing traps and ledge pressure instead of forcing scrambles.
KOs are more reproducible when you keep Gyro in hand, close off ledge getups and recovery routes first, and then catch the landing point with Fair, Uair, or Up Smash instead of gambling on a center-stage read.

Win Condition Checklist
- Check early for Chakram, Gale Strike, and Reversal Slash so you do not lock yourself into one Gyro placement or one Robo Beam height.
- After blocking Jab 2, Forward Tilt, Up Tilt, Dash Attack, Down Air, or Up B (1)-(3), immediately choose between Fair (9f), Grab (10f), OOS Uair (10f), and Up Smash (10f) instead of letting Mii Swordfighter reset space for free.
- Do not force an instant punish on Down Tilt, Neutral Air, Back Air, or Up Air. Step back or cover the jump and landing with Fair plus Gyro to win the second beat.
- After launching the opponent, prioritize Gyro recovery and landing traps over deep aerial chases so Mii Swordfighter does not get to drift back to the floor uncontested.
- Convert kills through Gyro-in-hand ledge pressure, covering normal getup, ledge jump, and the landing point after Up B in one sequence.
Actions to Avoid
- Throwing Robo Beam and Gyro at the same height and cadence before checking the special loadout, then getting matched by Chakram or Reversal Slash.
- Trying to punish Down Tilt, Neutral Air, Back Air, and Up Air on block every time and giving up your position when the punish never arrives.
- Blocking Jab 2, Forward Tilt, Up Tilt, Dash Attack, or Down Air and still failing to swing with Fair (9f) or Grab (10f), which gives Mii Swordfighter a free reset.
- Chasing too far offstage, draining Robo Burner fuel, and letting a loadout-dependent Up B or Down B reversal flip the position.
- Defaulting to immediate Neutral Air or Down Air while landing and repeatedly feeding Mii Swordfighter’s Up Tilt and Up Air juggle routes.
