Matchup Summary (Win Condition and Game Plan)

Mii Swordfighter can vary midrange control with Tornado Shot, Chakram, and setup-dependent reversals or burst options, but their normal sword reach, close-range scramble speed, and recovery stability are all limited.
Rosalina and Luma should keep Luma slightly ahead, use Fair, Uair, and side special to narrow the opponent’s jump and dash-in angles, and focus less on direct sword-tip trades and more on catching landings and ledge return points.
The main shield punishes are Jab 2, Jab 3, Forward Tilt, Up Tilt, Dash Attack, Forward Air, Down Air, and Up B (1) through (3), where Up Smash (8f), OOS Uair (9f), Grab (10f), and OOS Nair (10f) let Rosalina take momentum immediately.
By contrast, Down Tilt, Neutral Air, Back Air, and Up Air are hard to punish on the spot, and forcing offense without Luma lets Mii Swordfighter exploit Rosalina’s tall hurtbox and slow fall speed, so Luma survival and regrouping are central to the matchup.

Win Condition Checklist

  • Check early for Tornado Shot, Chakram, Reversal Slash, and the chosen Up B so you do not autopilot Luma placement or the height of your side special.
  • Do not challenge the sword tip head-on. Keep Luma in front, layer Fair, Uair, and side special, force a jump or landing air dodge first, then collect the landing with Up Smash, Grab, or Uair.
  • When you shield Jab 2, Jab 3, Forward Tilt, Up Tilt, Dash Attack, Forward Air, Down Air, or Up B (1) through (3), immediately choose between Up Smash (8f), OOS Uair (9f), Grab (10f), and OOS Nair (10f) so Mii Swordfighter does not get to reset spacing.
  • After shielding Down Tilt, Neutral Air, Back Air, or Up Air, do not insist on an immediate punish. Hold stage, reposition Luma, and take the next approach or landing instead.
  • Once the recovery path is identified, avoid overcommitting offstage and let Rosalina plus Luma cover jump, neutral get-up, roll, and the return point together from ledge trap positions.

Actions to Avoid

  • Repeating the same side special timing or extended Luma placements before checking the special setup, then letting Reversal Slash or projectiles remove Luma for free.
  • Walking Rosalina herself into sword-tip range over and over, where Forward Tilt, Up Tilt, and Forward Air can keep tagging her tall hurtbox and start juggle pressure.
  • Trying to punish Down Tilt, Neutral Air, Back Air, and Up Air every time and whiffing in place, which gives Mii Swordfighter free re-entry and stage reset.
  • Forcing jumps or panic buttons as soon as Luma is gone and feeding Up Tilt, Up Air, or Up B follow-ups that turn one neutral loss into a long disadvantage state.
  • Chasing too deep offstage before you know the recovery configuration and letting Up B or aerials reverse the position and make your own recovery unsafe.
