Matchup Summary (Win Condition and Game Plan)
Min Min can shut down the lane in front of her with forward-tilt strings, forward air, back air, and Dragon laser. If Villager tries to force his way in with grounded dashes or Lloid Rocket, he often gets clipped by the second arm or the anti-air even after slipping past the first swing. Once Villager is cornered, readable jump and Balloon Trip landing points let Min Min convert into forward smash or back air kills much earlier than Villager wants.
Still, Min Min does not defend close quarters or the space directly above herself especially well, and the frame table shows that if Villager blocks Jab strings, Forward Tilt (1)-(4), Up Tilt, Down Tilt, Dash Attack, all smashes, Down Air, or Up B (2), he can answer with OOS Nair (6f), OOS Uair (9f), Grab (10f), or Up Smash (12f). Just representing Pocket against Dragon laser and Ramram ring shots also makes it harder for Min Min to keep the same projectile rhythm.
The win condition is to refuse the straight-line arm battle, use forward and back Slingshot to stop jumps and retreats, and circle into the space above Min Min with neutral air or up air before pushing her to the ledge. Once Villager gets in, it is more stable to layer Slingshot, Tree setups, and forward/back air on landing spots than to force one overlong string.
For kills, Villager should trust ledge Bowling Ball, Tree, forward Slingshot, and offstage forward/back air interceptions more than a raw center-stage slugfest. Min Min’s recovery covers distance, but her ledge hang and upward escape mix are limited, so Villager wants to narrow the exits from onstage instead of overchasing.

Win Condition Checklist
- Do not dash straight into the arm lane. Use forward/back Slingshot plus walking shield to watch the first swing before committing, and mix in Pocket against Dragon laser and Ramram ring shots to break Min Min’s rhythm.
- When Villager blocks Jab strings, Forward Tilt (1)-(4), Up Tilt, Down Tilt, Dash Attack, all smashes, Down Air, or Up B (2), answer immediately with the punish that reaches: OOS Nair (6f), OOS Uair (9f), Grab (10f), or Up Smash (12f).
- After getting in, chase the space above Min Min and her landing spots with neutral air, up air, and forward/back air instead of giving back distance with rushed grounded approaches.
- At kill percent, prioritize Bowling Ball, Tree, forward Slingshot, and offstage forward/back air to cover recovery and ledge options instead of forcing center-stage scrambles.
Actions to Avoid
- Charging straight in with Lloid Rocket or grounded dashes and getting clipped by both the first and second arm of Min Min’s forward-tilt pressure.
- Trying to Pocket every arm instead of the actual extra projectiles, then getting caught by delayed forward tilt or back air while Villager is still committed.
- Forcing hurried dash attack, down tilt, or Up Smash after the first opening and letting Min Min reset the exact midrange spacing she wants.
- Chasing too far offstage for the kill, then letting Min Min’s drift mixups or back air force Balloon Trip into a predictable recovery line.
