Matchup Summary (Win Condition and Game Plan)
This matchup gets dangerous if Corrin keeps scrapping at point-blank range against Chrom’s jab, nair, and fast sword pressure, because that is exactly where Chrom’s tempo becomes hardest to interrupt.
The win condition is to stop the grounded dash first with pin and tipper spacing, then meet jumps and overextensions with fair, uair, and grab so Chrom gets pushed outward before he can start looping pressure.
The table shows that jab, Forward Tilt, Up Tilt, Dash Attack, every smash attack, Neutral B, Side B, and Up B can all be punished on shield by nair, grab, uair, fair, Up Smash, and more.
