Matchup Summary (Win Condition and Game Plan)
Peach can use low float aerials and turnip pull to offset Link’s sword spacing, then stretch one opening into long damage with nair, grab, and landing traps. If Link pre-places fair or nair directly in front of her, Peach can often change float height and re-enter on her terms.
At the same time, Peach still has clear weaknesses in ground mobility and vertical recovery, so Link does better when he uses boomerang, bomb, and arrow to lock in her height and route first, then turns shielded contact into up B punishes and ledge control.
The frame table shows jab 1, jab 2, forward tilt, up tilt, dash attack, all smash attacks, and side B (1)(2) are all punishable by up B, OOS bair, grab, OOS nair, or up smash, while down tilt and fair are also punishable by up B at close range. It is more stable to punish only those heavier contacts than to swing back at every low-float nair or bair.
KOs are more reliable when Link does not rush center-stage scraps, but instead leaves bomb at ledge to squeeze parasol rise and ledge options, then cashes out with up smash, uair, fair, or offstage bair to shorten the time Peach gets to run extended advantage.

Win Condition Checklist
- Do not challenge low float at the same height with pre-placed sword swings. Use boomerang and bomb first to skew Peach’s height, then walk-and-shield into a narrower contact point.
- After blocking jab 1, jab 2, forward tilt, up tilt, dash attack, any smash attack, or side B (1)(2), take the punish with up B, OOS bair, grab, OOS nair, or up smash so close-range pressure never resets for free.
- When down tilt or fair hits your shield from close range, default to up B, and do not force retaliation on shallower float nair or bair that do not actually give you the window.
- Do not hoard bomb in hand. Place it at ledge or on Peach’s landing route so turnip pull and float drift both have less room, then cover the upward escape with uair and fair.
- Once Peach is cornered, value ledge control over deep chases and layer pressure onto parasol rise, ledge jump, and re-landing in sequence.
Actions to Avoid
- Do not pre-place fair or nair directly into the front of low float and then get whiff punished into nair, grab, and extended landing traps.
- Do not panic at turnips and run straight in, giving Peach the mid-close range brawl she wants.
- Do not throw out OOS answers at every nair or bair and hand the float turn back when the punish never reaches.
- Do not chase too deep offstage, give up your bomb setup, and make your own recovery unstable after finally forcing Peach to the ledge.
