Matchup Summary (Win Condition and Game Plan)
Mega Man vs Pit is not won just by landing pellets. It is won by using projectiles to freeze Pit’s ground and jump routes, then covering the air space he is forced to take. Pit can still weave in from above with Fair, Nair, and good air movement, so Mega Man has to finish each zoning sequence with Bair, Up Smash, or Up Tilt instead of assuming the wall alone is enough. Pit’s reflector matters, but it does not remove Mega Man’s game plan; slowing down too much gives Pit the exact freedom he wants to start aerial pressure. Your kills are more reliable once Crash Bomb and Metal Blade narrow Pit’s landing or ledge options and a Bair or Up Smash closes the stock.

Win Condition Checklist
- Use pellets and Metal Blade to pin Pit’s running and low-jump approaches instead of treating them only as damage tools
- Punish blocked Fair, Uair, and Side B with Bair or Up Smash so Pit cannot keep entering from above for free
- After launching Pit, keep covering the space over and behind you with Up Tilt, Up Smash, and Bair instead of backing away immediately
- Set Crash Bomb before ledge situations so jump and roll can both be threatened by the next Bair
Actions to Avoid
- Respecting the reflector so much that you stop throwing the projectiles that control Pit’s movement
- Taking repeated close-range scraps into Pit’s multihit aerials instead of resetting to anti-air spacing
- Forcing Crash Bomb or Forward Smash straight in front of Pit and getting whiff-punished by his air movement
